He Rose to Commission You

Written by Kemi Searcy

Among the numerous holidays we love and celebrate, my favorite is Easter. As a young girl I looked forward to getting dressed in my new outfit on Resurrection Morning.  Mom made us look extra special with ribbons in our styled hair and shoes that matched our outfits. I was excited about being in church and witnessing the reenactment of the crucifixion. The drama brought tears to my eyes and a tender love in my heart for the Savior. Even though I was too young to understand all that took place on Holy Week, my heart seemed to come alive.

It's All About Love

Written by Pastor Kemi Searcy

Valentine’s Day is thought to be the epitome of “love,” expressing our affections through giving flowers, heart-shaped candies, fluffy teddy bears, etc. Love is a powerful emotion and an amazing gift to humanity. The ability to give and receive love is a gift from God and must not be downplayed.

We are not the only ones thinking about love and expressing it daily. The Architect of Love, God Almighty, loves us every minute of our day.

The Emotional Juggling Act

Written by Paster Kemi Searcy

Women are often told that we are “too emotional.” In response, we often fall into the trap of juggling our emotional life around a fast-paced, dogmatic society that praises sensitivity one day and stoicism the next.

How can we stop juggling something that clearly we were created to use to benefit the world? Let’s look at a true situation from the “Reality Bible.”

Why Me?

Written by Pastor Kemi Searcy

?Why Me?

A few years ago I had a dream that I had been invited somewhere to preach. As I arrived I saw thousands of women in a huge auditorium. Immediately, fear gripped my heart. I turned and told the organizer, “I can’t do this. There are too many people.” Immediately someone took my place preaching. As I sat watching my replacement fumble with her words, I realized I could have done a much better job.
