You know how your study bible has a brief introduction at the beginning of each book. Now you can watch a video version. Bibledex is a project by the University of Nottingham's Department of Theology and Religious Studies in conjunction with video journalist Brady Haran.
The videos are by no means comprehensive - rather they're a curious assortment of academic insights into what is probably the most famous collection of books in history. The video journalist, Brady Haran, who is not a scholar, produces similar video projects about The Periodic Table and Physics. As he films with various theological experts, he hopes to bring the same "outsider's perspective" to this project.
Over my years working in the church I have found that many Christians read the bible out of context. Bibledex will provide the correct narrative for you to understand the scriptures and apply them to your life. I also think these videos can be a great tool for helping teens gain a better understanding of the bible.
Visit
Bibledex and watch one now. Then bookmark it for later use when you're starting a new book of the bible for your personal reading or when you pastor is teaching on a book of the bible. I think it will be a great study help.
